IEC Ladysmith exists to provide disciplined, values-based education rooted in Islam while maintaining strong academic standards.

Our History

IEC Ladysmith is a Section 21 non-profit independent school based in Ladysmith, KwaZulu-Natal. The school was founded after community discussions identified the need for an Islamic school that could serve learners with discipline, academic structure and Islamic guidance.

Established on purpose

The school continues to serve learners from Grade R to Grade 12 with a focus on faith, learning and community responsibility.

1995

Community shura discussions began around the need for an independent Muslim school in Ladysmith.

1999

The Islamic Educational Centre opened on its present site.

Today

The school continues to support learners through Islamic values, structured academics and school community involvement.
